Traditional Counties

The pages in the left hand menu are a record of Four Walking Boys in England. I also started looking further afield, with the probably overly ambitious idea of not only walking the 39 counties of England but also the 34 traditional counties of Scotland. Ambitious because my muscles are not as supple as they were and each trip to Scotland is a minimum 600 mile round trip from my home in Cambridge. Still, it's a wonderful country to visit for a challenge ....

So here's the target - to walk 5 miles in each traditional Scottish county as in the list below. Doesn't sound so hard when I say it quickly does it? Hardly comparable with Everest, the Amazon or the Antarctic - but what magnificent countryside there is to be seen! Clickable Map of my walks to date
