We found Orford Ness fascinating with bird life, wildflowers, shingle beach, but also WWII relics from its times as a military training and experimental area. Well worth a visit.

This remarkable 18th century original painting is on the wall of one of the bedrooms at The Jolly Sailor at Orford.
