Pralognon

Pralognon is an alpine village and resort in La Vanoise, France. John and Duncan, with wives Sarah and Jenny, stayed here at the Hotel de la Vanoise for a walking week. Although also a skiing and cross-country skiing centre (some of the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics activities took place here) in the summer this is really good walking country.
That's why you find two of the Four Blokes Who Walk puffing and panting at 3,000 metres in the Alps, looking for a cooling beer!

John and Duncan plus a couple of glasses of ice cool Kronenburg (Duncan not quite hiding his)

We took the cable car up to 2,200 ft and walked higher towards La Grand Casse. Here we are celebrating our efforts with a beer. There seems to be a refuge or a bar serving beer around every corner.
