| INDEX ______________ | View over Edinburgh from Calton Hill June 2008 | | |
| Midlothian means Edinburgh in this case Edinburgh, capital of Scotland, is a busy, grand, dark stone, imposing city which deserves an extensive walk. Here you can see the Castle, built on one ancient volcano near Arthur's Seat, which is another.
A short but steep walk will also take you to The Sheep Heid Inn - a beautifully restored village pub & restaurant in Duddingston. My daughter, then at the university, introduced me to this pub and it's a real gem. I've walked around Edinburgh on many occasions; the city of volcanoes has ample steepish walks and views. | |||
