Our wives occasionally come with us, even though they don't drink Adnams.

This picture was taken in Cley. They seem happy enough, even without the beer.

The Three Swallows is a simple but comfortable pub with a pleasant annexe providing inexpensive accommodation.

Run by an ex-Spurs player, there is sound basic fare - I am always happy with steak and kidney pie and a pint on a cold day - though you could venture further into Cley to The George for more advanced cuisine - at a price.

I liked the Three Swallows - honest and friendly. Good value.

More flashy pictures of Cley are here.
