At British Camp, Malvern Hills

British Camp

More about this Iron Age fortress here including 360 degree panoramas. All about Malvern, from Wikipedia.
We ate and drank at:

The Nelson at Suckley (Banks, Adnams and a good selection of food including a massive battered fish).

The Malvern Hills Hotel (conveniently placed at the end of our stroll around British Camp, with a good selection of beers including Black Pear, Ludlow Gold, Bombardier and Wye Valley Bitter. Efficient service, good grub, jolly atmosphere.)

We ate at The Talbot, Knightwick (four beers named This, That, T'Other and Fools Gold; good food and service but expensive. For value we recommend the bar menu rather than the restaurant.)

The Admiral Rodney at Martley (Wye Valley bitter, good food, but we seem to have caught the landlord on a bad day ...) Incidentallly, though the staff don't seem to know, our own Admiral reckons that Rodney's motto "Non generant aquilae columbus" means "Doves are not born of Eagles" - referring to his bravery and a ship on which served.
More on Admiral Rodney here and here.

The Bear and Ragged Staff at Bransford (excellent food and service, limited beer - St George's - and surprisingly no local cider, they seem to concentrate on their wine menu. More a restaurant than a pub, but a very good one.
