Remember the task and the question you want to answer (Step 1)

Interrogate (look through them carefully for possible answers) the resources to see if they can answer your question.

Select the most useful resources

Use the contents and the index of books to check if they might answer your question.

Enter relevant search words in search engines to see if websites might have the answer More about Search Engines

Make a note of all your useful sources - book titles with authors and Dewey numbers, full website addresses. More about acknowledging sources



Create a list of Key Words

As you think about the question and look at sources you will notice useful words. Make a note of these Key Words and use them in search engines to find out more.
