Many of these stills are significant for the story of BladeRunner; many are also visually impressive.

A photograph can be seen as a kind of preserved memory. How is this idea explored in Bladerunner? Look at 6, 16, 26.

Look at the camera angle, the composition or the pattern on the page, the lighting and the mood it conveys.

For example:
• how do the lighting and camera angles change in the shots of Rachel (1-5);
• what effect do the silhouettes have (7,12,15,18);
• how does having the frame divided in half vertically emphasise the picture? (1-4, 8, 9, 13, 14, 21);
• what is the efffect of having Pris's face at an angle (10)
• what is the effect of the top lighting (25)?
